How much a Coloradan recycles every day

Coloradans generate roughly the same amount of trash per day, according to state data, but the amount that gets recycled varies. Here's how the average Colorado resident’s trash toals compare to averages in other states. Each day, the average Coloradan generates 5.6 pounds of trash, of which 1.2 pounds is recycled.
